Space Engineering

t a k i s studied costume and set design at the Romanian National University of Arts, Bucharest (‘98-‘02) and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (‘02-‘04). He is a PhD student at the London College of Fashion, researching new ways of seeing the contemporary male suit.

t a k i s has worked as assistant at the Greek National Opera, the Megaron-Athens Concert Hall, the Opera Festival of Rome and the Royal Opera House.

He is a guest lecturer/workshop leader at the Romanian National University of Arts in Bucharest, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (where he also leads the Theatre Design Summer Course), the Lyric Hammersmith / Lyric Young Company and the International Youth and Culture Centre Kiebitz in Duisburg, Germany.

His design work (theatre, opera, dance, film) has been seen in around forty productions worldwide in various indoor and outdoor venues.
