A redefinition of art!

Hyo Jeung Jo

Having completed a BA in Classical Ballet and Dance at the Ewha Women’s University in South Korea in 2007, Hyo Jeung has already won several dance awards. These awards include the first place in the 43rd Nation Dance Competition of South Korea (2007), a silver medal in the 21st National Dance Competition (2002), and the first place in the National Competition for junior high school students in South Korea (1998).

From 2006 to 2007, Hyo Jeung was working as a dancer in the South Korean dance company Ballet Blanc. In 2006, she was invited by the Smith College at Harvard University and Phillips Academy to dance three commissioned pieces, “Joy of Reconciliation”, “Job”, and “Spring”. The same year, 2006, the Cambodian Government, Phnom Penh, also invited Hyo Jeung to perform a specially commissioned piece.

In 2007, Hyo Jeung received a scholarship for her outstanding achievements by the the Ewha University, and she is now living and dancing in London.
